22.  Correspondences between DM and physics

That theory is worthless. It isn't even wrong.

— Wolfgang Pauli

It is interesting to make an assignment of properties of DM to properties of the real world. The list in table 1 is based on our experiences in testing many CA systems. We have chosen, often based on little evidence, reasonable correspondences found in various CA. While there is no special reason to believe that all of the things that are going to be suggested can hang together and be mutually consistent, nevertheless there is something to be learned from the effort. In particular, the list in table 1 should convey the flavor of how DM might make use of the parameters it has in order to produce the particles and laws of physics. In DM-4, there are just three fundamental units: D for the digit-transition, also equal to Planck's constant, L for the unit of length, which is the cell to cell distance, and T for the unit of time, one cycle of the 6-phase clock.
